- [Instructor] Hello. Welcome to Mixed Reality Fundamentals. Today I will be giving you a little tip on how to improve audio and sound in your mixed-reality application. Audio and sound can play a fundamental role in any mixed-reality environment as it can greatly enhance immersiveness and can be used to create guidance for the user. For Unity developers, Microsoft has developed an audio technology called spatial sound you will find available when building all UWP-based mixed-reality applications. Spatial sound can be incredibly useful in immersive applications. It enables any object in the scene to be clearly identified as the source of a sound. For example, if spatial sound is enabled and you have a virtual dog running around and barking in the scene, the user will have the impression that the barking sound actually comes from the dog.
