- [Instructor] When designing our data archiving strategy, we need to fully understand the SLAs, or Service Level Agreements, that are associated with our storage options. This ensures that we are meeting our compliancy requirements. Let's review the SLA for the hot access tier. And this is pretty easy to remember. For local redundant storage, zone redundant storage, and georedundant storage for both read and write access, Microsoft guarantees 99.9% availability. Where this is slightly different is in read-only georedundant storage. Here Microsoft guarantees read access at 99.99%, but write is still at 99.9%. For the cool access tier, you'll notice it's a very similar pattern. For both read and write, Microsoft guarantees 99% availability. Again, with the exception of read only georedundant storage.
