- [Instructor] Rethinking application configuration data. So, a lot of folks up till now and even a few years back have used application config data in a file. For the last couple years people have been shifting over to more secure stores for their data and one of the reasons is that single file configurations are great for single applications. You don't usually have multiple application configurations in a single config file 'cause that config file lives with the application. So again, it's a one to one relationship usually. Sometimes on some types of configurations you can actually change your application's behavior after it's been deployed if someone were able to get access to that configuration file. So again, if it's not secured in a correct manor and someone gets access, you can really damage your application, your business, whatever.
