Azure resources can be deleted when they are no longer required, saving money and resources. In this video, learn how to delete resources and resource groups using the portal and PowerShell.
- [Instructor] One of the biggest benefits to using Azure is…the ability to remove resources when you're done with them.…I do this after every course.…Once a course is complete,…I delete all of the resource groups,…which keeps my costs down and my quotas low.…I'm going to show you how to delete a resource group…in the portal and using PowerShell.…We're going to go ahead and delete the two resource groups…that I created for our previous demos.…I'm going to start off with deleting the new resource group.…And this resource group contains a storage account.…
To remove a resource group,…simply select delete resource group.…And you'll notice that you are told…that there are affected resources here.…You'll need to provide the name for the resource group.…This is equivalent to are you sure…you want to delete this resource group?…And then go ahead and select Delete.…And that's it, it will take a few moments…for the resources and the resource group to be deleted.…One thing to keep in mind, certain resources will…need to be deleted prior to you deleting the resource group.…
