Protecting Azure file shares
- [Instructor] During my time at LinkedIn Learning you will have heard me say, over and over again, that Azure is a moving target. And during the recording of this chapter, Microsoft added a new protection feature, and it's pretty cool. We can now back-up Azure file shares. Now keep in mind, this is brand new as of this recording, in mid-February 2018, and is currently only available in a handful of regions. This feature replaces the need to backup files and folders on your Azure virtual machines. And the nice thing is, it's super-easy to set up. Let's go ahead and take a look. As you can see, I'm already in the resource group AzureFileShareBU, I know, not very creative. And within this resource group, I have already created a file share. And in this file share, you'll notice that I have two folders, a Marketing folder and a Secrets folder, and I have a text document in each. Nothing fancy.
