A new feature of the Azure portal is the support for multiple logins to make it easier to handle different subscriptions. In this video, learn how to filter subscriptions and work with different login credentials.
- [Instructor] So if you're like me, you may have multiple subscriptions in Azure that use different log-ins and have different credentials to support the different kinds of tasks and assignments that you need to work on. For instance, I might have a MSDN subscription that has Azure benefits that I need to go out and work with and I would log in with my own Microsoft account to be able to access it. Then I might have a work account that goes into my other environment that has a whole set of production and team collaborative things.
You may have customers that have different subscriptions that you may have to log in at different times. And it's been a challenge to be able to log all the way out and come all the way back in and break that work flow. Inside the Azure portal, they make it easy to switch between different subscriptions. One way is to use the directory and subscription filter. Up here I can go out and I can say here's my different subscriptions I can turn on and off which subscriptions I want to see when I'm logged in with this account. But I can also switch to a completely different set of subscriptions by changing the directory.
This then lets me go out and log in with that particular account. And I can see the information for that Azure Pass. You may also have a challenge where you want to be able to work on different things at the same time. In the past, you weren't able to do that. You'd only be able to log in to one particular account and you'd have to log out and have a completely different log-in. Now I can have different log-ins in different tabs inside of the browser. And so here, I can have my work account open in one tab, and I can have my personal account open in the other.
The great thing about this is it saves me time and makes it much easier to stay in the flow of things so that I can be more productive.
