- [Instructor] Hello, and welcome to Mixed Reality Fundamentals. Today I'll be giving you a little tip regarding 3D modeling in mixed reality. 3D Modeling is great fun, and a skill you will need if you'd like to put your designs into your mixed reality application all by yourself. There are many programs to modeling that will help you get from concept to implementation. One of the main, most accessible and free softwares is Paint 3D. Imagine 3D modeling as you would making something out of clay. You push, pull, and mold it until you get it to the size and shape you'd like it to be in. You can virtually do this in Paint 3D, as you can start by virtual sketching and finish with a modeled product of your sketch. You can manipulate shapes in their original form to get as realistic as possible. You can also color and texture them to add to the realistic value.
