- [Instructor] Welcome to this clip on live metrics stream within Application Insight. This is a very interesting capability within Application Insight, where you're able to livestream metrics information with the latency of about a second directly inside the Azure portal. So why would you want to livestream these metrics into the Azure portal? Well, remember that earlier in this chapter when we first instrumented this application and started sending telemetry inside Application Insights, we had to wait for a few seconds or a few minutes to get that information. Now consider that you're about to go live with a production application, or perhaps you've made a fix to a production application and you want to very quickly turn around and look at the application and see if it is behaving correctly, because if it is not, then you want to take a corrective action.
