Join an Azure VM to Active Directory

- [Instructor] So now that we've updated the DNS assignments for our Azure virtual machine, let's go ahead and join it to the active directory domain. I'm going to right click on the start button, and I'm going to go to System and then Change settings, and I'll click Change, and I'll set this to be a member of a domain, and I'll type poseylab.com and click OK. And now I'm prompted for the username and password for the active directory environment. Now remember, our active directory environment is running on AWS, so we can't use administrator as the username. We have to use admin, which is what Amazon shortens the administrator account to. And then I'll enter my password and click OK. And after a couple of minutes, I see a message welcoming me to the poseylab.com domain. So I've taken an Azure virtual machine and I've joined it to an active directory environment that's running on the Amazon cloud.
