- [Scott] Although bots and the concept of bots have been around for a long time it's only been recently that easy to use, intelligent frameworks have been available for the creation of bots by the average developer. If you're familiar with Apple's Siri, Google's Now and especially Microsoft's Cortana, you're actively using bots all the time without even realizing it. In fact, Microsoft Cortana, the most powerful personal assistant of the bunch, is ultimately just a supercharged bot. The great part for developers is that almost all of the services and features that power Cortana have been made available to you via Microsoft Azure, Cognitive Services, and especially Louise, Cortana's language, understanding and intelligence service.
In this session we're going to walk through all the basics and create a foundational understanding of how to leverage these services and create your own bots for both personal and business use. I'm Scott J. Peterson and this is Creating Bots with the Microsoft Bot Framework, Part One.
