Introduction to Azure Multi-Factor Authentication

- [Instructor] An easy way to enhance the effectiveness of an authentication system, is to add an extra layer of authentication. Most commonly referred to as multi-factor authentication or MFA. Using only a username and password to authenticate a user has a security risk. If the credentials are compromised, the attacker can take control. MFA requires that along with a username and a password, the user supply additional credentials. Also known as the additional factor. This could be a fingerprint, facial recognition, a code from a soft token or hard token device or a security question. The additional factor is usually something that's considered hot to obtain for an attacker. Azure MFA requires that you supply at least two of these.
