Installing the Azure Backup Server
- [Instructor] There will be times when the Azure Backup Agent is not sufficient for your needs. You may need something with a little bit more oomph. For example, if you want to back up Hyper-V Virtual Machines, VMWare Virtual Machines, or workloads, then you can use the Azure Backup Server. In this lesson I'm going to show you how we actually set up the Azure Backup Server, and in the following lesson we will configure it. But before we jump into installing the software on the server I like to review the environment that I'm working in. My environment contains one on-premise server that is running Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V. Within Hyper-V I have four virtual machines up and running. I have a domain controller, a SQL server, a member server, and then Azure Backup Server. These are all domain joined. The Azure Backup Server Setup will be as follows.
