- [Lecturer] Hi and welcome to this section, Identifying KPIs. Remember, if we put garbage into a system, we're going to get garbage out of a system. So when we talk about identifying KPIs, some of the things that we talk about are KPIs should reflect the reality. You should have a high level of understanding of the situation and have empathy and patience for people in getting those KPIs to reflect the reality. The golden rule should be find your team's weaknesses and set up KPIs that will promote Agile practices. You should not restrict freedom. They're not designed to stop people from being able to do the things they need to do. We're hoping that setting up KPIs will promote improvement of processes, will lead your teams to more quality software in less time. Should avoid rigidity and static behaviors. Again, increments of improvements is the best KPI to make software the better quality. Do not use KPIs as a means to punish your team or reward your team in an Agile project. Every…
