- [Instructor] When you're working in an on-premises environment, the Active Directory is completely dependent upon DNS. And the same thing also holds true in the cloud. So when you create an Active Directory through AWS, Amazon deploys a couple of DNS servers in the background. That's part of the reasons why the deployment process takes so long. And in order to join a VM to the Active Directory environment, you have to know the IP addresses that are associated with that Active Directory. Fortunately, Amazon makes this information available to you. So let's take a look. Right now, I'm on the list of AWS services and I'm going to go back into Directory service. And here, we can see our newly created Active Directory. So what I'm going to do now, is click on the directory ID which you can see right here. And when I do that, that's going to give us a little bit more detailed information about the Active Directory. So here you can see that we have all sorts of statistical information…
