- [Instructor] There are various ways to join devices to AzureAD. IT departments can deploy devices without first touching the device using a Windows 10 features called Windows Auto Pilot. This allows devices to be automatically joined into Azure AD during the initial boot up when the user first logs in. Let's take a look at this from and end user's perspective. The user has turned on their new PC and configured the region settings. Next they'll configure the keyboard. Then the device will locate the Windows Auto Pilot service on the internet. The user will log on using their corporate credentials. The device will automatically be joined to Azure AD and then receive the mobile device management profile, in this case for Microsoft Intune. Throughout the installation the user is presented with an enrollment information page. Once complete the device is secure and ready for the user to use. Another way is for user to manually join their device using the settings app in Windows 10. Here it can configure the connections settings for joining Azure AD. The careers skills presented in this section include how to prepare to migrate directory services from on premises to the cloud. You've seen that there's no official migration path and that you'll need to consider what to do with incompatible objects. And finally, you saw how to use the Azure AD Join feature to connect Windows 10 devices to the cloud.
