- [Instructor] The next thing that I wanna do is to create an Azure virtual machine that I can use for testing purposes. So here I am, logged into the Azure portal and I'm currently on the home screen. What I'm going to do is click on virtual machines. And as you can see, I don't have any virtual machines yet but I can easily create one by clicking on "Ad". And when I do that, I'm asked what type of virtual machine I wanna create. I'm gonna go with the windows server, so I click on windows server. And, now I'm presented with a number of different choices for windows server operating systems that I can deploy. I'm gonna go with windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter. I could choose any of these but I'm gonna stick with server 2012 R2 just for the sake of consistency. Since that's what I've been using in some of the other videos. And then I'm gonna click create. So now, I'm led through four steps for deploying my new Windows server 2012 R2 virtual machine.
