Sharon demonstrates how to configure user accounts for multifactor authentication using the Azure portal.
- Let's go ahead and configure multi-factor authentication…for individual users in Azure active directory.…To do so, select users…and then multi-factor authentication,…and this will open up a new window for you.…Next, select the user or users that you wish…to enable multi-factor authentication for,…select enable and then enable again.…We can also manage user settings from here.…
We can require that the selected users provide…contact methods again, so if they've already provided them,…they'll be forced to do it one more time.…We can delete all existing at passwords…that have been generated by the selected users,…and finally we can restore multi-factor authentication…on all remembered devices.…A class example of why you'd implement this…is if the user has lost their device.…Go ahead and click save,…and once MFA has been enabled we can enforce…the user to create at passwords to use non-browser apps.…
This will typically effect legacy apps…such as Outlook 2010 and Apple Mail…that do not support MFA.…If is from here that we can also disable MFA for the user…
