- [Instructor] Resource locks are exactly…what the name implies.…Locks are a way to lock down your Azure resources.…Locks allow us to control access to our subscription,…resource group or a specific resource.…The lock will prevent accidental deletion…or modification of resources.…There are two types of locks that we can apply…to our Azure resources.…The first lock being CanNotDelete.…If you apply this lock, the resource can be read…and modified, but not deleted.…
The second lock is ReadOnly.…The resource can be read, but not modified,…deleted or updated.…Now, keep in mind with a ReadOnly lock…this can lead to unexpected results…when applied to some resources,…because the resource may need additional actions…in order to function correctly.…Always refer to the documentation for the resource…and test it before applying it in a production environment.…Locks have a parent-child relationship…which means that locks applied at the parent scope…will affect all the resources within that scope.…
And keep in mind that the most restrictive lock…
