- [Instructor] So here we are on our Azure virtual machine and because we're running Windows Server 2012 R2 on this virtual machine just like we were on our Amazon EC2 instance, the procedure for joining the virtual machine to the Active Directory domain should theoretically be exactly the same as what you just saw, but believe it or not there is a difference and that difference comes into play with regard to the way that Azure handles DNS settings because there's actually a bug that will cause us to lose connectivity and not be able to reestablish that connectivity once we change the DNS IP address associations for this virtual machine. So let me show you how this works. What I'm going to do is right click on the Start button and I'm going to go to Control Panel and then I'm going to go to Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center, Change adapter settings, and then I'm going to right click on the network adapter and go to Properties and then Internet Protocol Version 4 and…
