- [Instructor] When planning any new IT system, there are always many factors for you to consider. You will need to decide which of your current IT systems will be moved to the cloud or stay on premises. And also, how to de-take the migration process. Each current IT system will need to be assessed for cloud migration compatibility. This can be done using the six Rs. You may decide to remove an existing system or application if it's outdated, or is little used in your organization. For example, removing physical servers when hiring cloud IS services. Some systems may be retained on premises and used alongside your new cloud system. For example, essential legacy systems that are not suitable for migration. If a current service is of value but not suitable for migration, then it may be possible to replatform the service.
