Change DNS server: RHCE Cert Prep: Networking and SSH
Change DNS server: RHCE Cert Prep: Networking and SSH

Explore how changing DNS servers can be done on a global or per-interface level, and both of these operations are done by editing files. For the global DNS settings, learn how to edit the /etc/resolv.conf file. For per-user settings, learn how to edit the ifcfg-name interface file. As well, use the PEERDNS setting to copy per-interface DNS servers into the global file or restrict those settings to the interface itself.
