- Your Azure cloud resources can be exposed to different types of threats. One of them is threats that originate from external sources, for example, a denial of service attack. But threats may also emerge as a result of not following security best practices. For example, not remediating vulnerabilities on your virtual machines, not applying disk encryption and more. Azure Security Center is a service that provides a single console for monitoring and managing the security of your Azure resources. This can also be extended to your on-premise resources and resources hosted in other cloud provider environments, providing you a unified view of your hybrid infrastructure. once enabled Security Center automatically and continuously discovers new resources that are being deployed in your Azure environment.
