Associate VPC to an internet gateway
- [Instructor] So the next thing that we need to do is to make sure that our newly created VPC is associated with an internet gateway. Now, odds are you probably won't even have to do anything in this step but this is critical because the items that we create inside of our virtual private cloud have to have internet access in order for everything else that we're going to do later on to work. So, it's worth taking a moment to check just to make sure that internet access is set up. So, if you look at the screen you can see that right now we're looking at the VPC dashboard. What I'm going to do is go to Your VPCs which you can see right here on the left and I'll click on that and that takes me to a list of the VPCs that exist within my own Amazon account. So, you can see the default VPC right here, this is something that AWS creates on its own without us having to do anything at all and then just above that you can see the VPC that I created a few minutes ago.
