- [Instructor] Amazon's Virtual Private Cloud service adds another layer of network security to your instances by creating private subnets and supports configuring an IP sec VPN tunnel between your local network and your AWS VPC. VPCs allow you to define and manage your network topology. Similar to Azure Virtual Network Services. VPCs can span availability zones in an AWS region providing fault-tolerance to compute instances deployed using a multi AZ pattern. Users implementing Amazon's VPC or Microsoft Azure Virtual Network should consider the following factors. What IP address prefix will you start with? What workloads will you segregate using subnets? Will you define custom routes to control traffic flow? Should you consider future expansion? Have you consider future connectivity to local networks?
