- Here's your personal checklist that I recommend you follow when deploying Azure AD in hybrid fashion. First, identify your deployment configuration, see how many forests you have. Ideally, one Azure AD tenant per forest is what you need, unless you're either converging or diverging. Then totally understand the AD connect tool, it's features, functionalities, underpinnings, and supporting tools that come with it because this is the foundation of Hybrid Identity Infrastructure. If you get this wrong, then things can become messy. Next, choose a sign-in method that suits and complies with your organizations policies. I recommend Password Hash Synchronization, but if that doesn't work for you, then you can look at Pass Through Authentication, if that doesn't work either then probably ADFS authentication is the way to go.
