- [Instructor] By now you're familiar with the grind, so let's talk about the third group operation, updating user accounts. Federated and Synchronized users are typically updated on Windows server because that's the source of authority. The relevant changes then get synchronized to Azure AD through AD connect, this is for attributes that are synchronized. If you want to modify the Cloud attributes of hybrid users you do it in the Cloud which is Azure AD because Cloud attributes appended to the object on synchronization and are only available in the Cloud and not on-premises. So they have to be modified in the Cloud itself. There's this one little exception to this, it is possible for one attribute to be changed in the Cloud in Azure AD and be written back to Windows server on-premises. Can you guess what that is?
