- [Instructor] Welcome to Planning for Users and Devices. In this chapter, we'll understand how synchronizing to Azure AD can impact the behavior of objects or the nature of administration for users and devices. So, in order to make sure that there are no surprises, you need to plan for them and have a well-defined strategy. So, let's see what that encompasses. There are three types of sign-in methods that you can configure for users in your organization during the AD Connect installation. Those are Password Hash Synchronization, Pass-Through Authentication, and the Active Directory Federation Services Authentication. Which one to choose largely depends on what your organization's policy is when it comes to handling passwords. Let's take a look at each one of them starting with Password Hash Synchronization.
