- [Instructor] Let's start with our first core chapter, AD Connect Fundamentals. Here we shall get a deeper understanding of what AD Connect does, features it supports, how it works under the hood and get to know additional tools included with the AD Connect installation. As you know by now, the AD Connect tool serves as the foundation for hybrid identity infrastructure in a Microsoft network. Its primary job is to integrate, or in other words, to create a bridge between on-premises Windows Server Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. This bridge facilitates the synchronization of active directory objects from the on-premises environment to Azure. Including users, groups and computers. One specialty of an overloop, is the bidirectional flow of configuration changes. By that, I mean AD Connect not only synchronizes from on-premises to Azure, but also the other way round. But not objects, configuration changes.…
