- [Instructor] Let's talk about administrative units in Azure AD. This feature was in preview for a long time and has just become generally available. And due to this, the information available on its long-term road map is slightly limited. So I decided to add a video for this within the groups chapter. Administrative units in Azure AD are similar to organizational units in Windows Server Active Directory. It is very critical to understand that the composition of existing organizational units on premises is not synchronized into administrative units in Azure AD. I know it just seems obvious that it should, but it doesn't because AD Connect does not synchronize OUs, it synchronizes the objects of it in the OUs into Azure AD and lays it all out as a flat structure.
