- [Instructor] I like to think of it this way. You wouldn't go to Detroit to buy a Ford directly off the line unless you had privileges that I certainly don't possess. You'd buy it from a local dealer. You don't drive your new Ford to Detroit every time you need an oil change or maintenance either. This is where the value-added reseller comes in. Just a quick disclaimer here. I'm not a reseller, nor do I push a specific one on people. I just like to lay out what you should be looking for. So, who's your VAR? What a VAR is is a value-added reseller, and really your friend at corporate level in any capacity. You really want one. Moving forward you want them to have a good relationship with Autodesk. I've seen it both ways, and I really prefer a good relationship between my VAR and Autodesk. You can tell. You need them to be responsive.
