The purpose of elevations in AutoCAD

- [Instructor] So you'll notice now I've got the 01_elevations 3D drawing open again. And you can see there that I've got it in the standard isometric view that opens up when you open up the drawing. Now if you go to the tabs at the top of the drawing area, you'll also notice that I've got 01 elevations 2D open as well. So I've got two drawings open at the same time. Two different drawings, two totally different diverse architectural designs. Now you'll notice I tend to work with buildings. That's because I have an architectural bias in my daily working life. So this could be components for a car engine. It could be structural steel work for a high rise tower block, for example. But what we're going to do is, we're going to got to the view tab on the ribbon, into the interface panel here and we're gonna click on tile vertically. Now that'll tile these two drawings vertically on my one screen. Now I know some of you have got great big 27-inch dual screen environments to work with…
