Why use blocks and polylines? - AutoCAD Tutorial
From the course: AutoCAD Facilities Management: Occupancy
Why use blocks and polylines?
- [Voiceover] So, we're starting another chapter now in our AutoCAD facilities management 103 occupancy course. And, this time we're looking at blocks and polylines, and how these blocks and polylines can assist us to demonstrate the occupancy on our facilities management drawings. Now, you'll notice I've got the drawing open, 00_GND_FM_BLOCKS.dwg. As usual, make sure you download that from your lynda.com exercise files. Make sure you reference in the corresponding GA drawing as well, that is there on the lynda.com exercise files also. So, quick sanity check there. I'll just show you. Go to the "Insert" tab on the ribbon, "Reference" panel, click on the little arrow to bring up the "External References" pallet. You can see the renamed ex-ref there, and if I hover over it, it's 00_GND_GA_BLOCKS.dwg. So, make sure you reference in that GA drawing, rename it as "FP", like normal, like in previous chapters. And then you've got that for your layer managements. When you go to the "Home"…
