What you should know
- [Instructor] Before taking this course, you should be comfortable drafting in AutoCAD. That is, you should be able to make a drawing like this, a complicated drawing that has lots of different entity types, lines, arcs, circles, splines, and you should also be able to manipulate those objects by moving, copying, rotating, scaling, off-setting, et cetera. Once you're comfortable drafting, I welcome you into this course. I don't expect that you know anything about 3D modeling to take this course. I'll teach you everything you need to know to get into the third dimension and start creating advanced models with AutoCAD. If you're brand new to AutoCAD, I recommend that you start with an AutoCAD essentials course in the library. Gain some experience and get comfortable with AutoCAD before tackling the more complicated third dimension.
