- [Instructor] So, what should you know before you take your AutoCAD Certified Professional preparation course? Well, one of the things that you obviously should know is all about AutoCAD. So, you should have done the AutoCAD Essentials course before you take this, your certification preparation course. Ideally, you should be using the latest version of AutoCAD, which, at the moment, is AutoCAD 2018. So, you really should have taken the AutoCAD 2018 Essentials course on the website first before doing this course. It's sort of a prerequisite really and the idea being is we're then going to review all of the aspects of AutoCAD that you need to obviously prepare for your certification examination. So, that's really what you should know. Now, the other thing that you should know as well, obviously I've mentioned it already, is that we are using AutoCAD 2018 for the videos in this particular preparation course. Now, don't worry about the exercise files. They will be saved back to a previous version, which will be the 2013 DWG format. So, make sure the older versions of AutoCAD can read the files. But what you should know is you should know your AutoCAD essentials, which you've done by doing the AutoCAD Essentials course, and then, also, as well, you should've been using AutoCAD live in a work environment, in a business environment, so that you know how to drive AutoCAD effectively in your workplace. That way, you've got the live AutoCAD expertise and you've also got the academic AutoCAD expertise from the videos that obviously you've been using to learn from on the website.
