- [Shaun] Welcome to this AutoCAD course about 2D and 3D Elevations. The whole idea of this course is to get you using 2D and 3D Elevations in AutoCAD. Now, the whole idea of 2D and 3D elevations is an elevation of a building so that you can see things like windows, doors, walls, grooves, columns and so on. But the whole idea of AutoCAD is there's a particular way of developing these elevations and developing them from things like plan views and sectional views and so on. Now, as we work through the course, we'll develop our elevations both from 2D and 3D objects so that you can see how you can work with both environments in AutoCAD to develop your 2D and 3D elevations.
