In this video, Shaun Bryant shows you how to use visibility and graphics overrides with a linked CAD file in Revit.
- [Instructor] You'll remember when we…looked at the query command,…when we selected our linked CAD file…in our basic Revit project,…that we had the ability…to hide those elements that we were querying…in the linked CAD file.…And we brought them back using…the visibility graphics overrides dialog box.…We're gonna look now at that…in a little bit more detail.…Now the quickest way to get to your…visibility graphics override dialog box…is just to literally type VG on the keyboard.…
And that'll bring up all of the…visibility graphic overrides for…this particular floor plan at level zero.…You can see that at the top of the dialog box.…Now the categories we need to look at…are the imported categories.…That's all we've got right now.…We haven't actually got any Revit information…in this Revit project.…All we've got is the linked CAD file.…So we're going to look at imported categories.…Now the benefit you've got here,…is you can expand these out a little bit,…like so, so you can see what's going on,…and you'll notice if a category is unchecked,…
