Join Shaun Bryant for an in-depth discussion in this video Using text fields in the AutoCAD table, part of AutoCAD: Effective Annotating.
[Narrator] - We're staying in the 07_Tables.dwg font.…Now, in the previous video, we looked at adding cell data…into our AutoCAD table.…You can see it there in our table…in the left column and the middle column,…which is our object column and our number column.…What we're going to look at in this video is Text Fields…in the "Area" column on the right.…Now, avoid confusion in the Office here.…The way that I do this from a CAD manager perspective…if I put my CAD manager hat on, is the data in the table…as it exists in the moment is Cell Data.…
So, in the Object column and in the Number column…it is Cell Data.…In the Area column, we're going to look at adding Text Fields.…What we're going to do is we're going to link the area…of each of the three circles to each of those cells…that become text fields in the AutoCAD table.…So, how do we do that?…How do we link an area to a particular object…in the drawing?…Let's have a look and see how that works.…So, what we're going to do is we're going to double click…in this cell here.…
