Using the offset and mirror commands

- [Narrator] Once again we're staying in our modifying objects dot dwg file and we're going to look at some other modify commands now. And those are going to be offset command and also our mirror command. Now, again these are commands on the modify panel. In the home tab on the ribbon. They're not available in like the shortcut menu but you can type the commands if you want to. I'm just going to roll back one notch on the wheel of the mouse and zoom out slightly. The reason being, is I want to be able to see this rectangle here, the white one on the outside. And I'm going to offset that by one point five unit. So if I go into the modify panel here, there's the offset command there. Now I'm going to click on offset like so, and it asks me to specify an offset distance. Now the offset distance I'm going to specify is one point five, like so. Now the good thing about AutoCAD is I can now select the object I want to offset, that then highlights, and as I go inside or outside of that…
