Using the exercise files

- [Instructor] As we work through the videos in this particular course, I'll prompt you to use specific exercise files. Now those exercise files are I in the usual AutoCAD DWG file format. So if you look at the drawing you've got on the screen in front of you right now, you can see that it's called introduction.dwg file. Now you can go to the website. You can download that as an exercise file and use it to follow along with this particular video if you wish. Now that particular DWG file will be saved back in a 2013 DWG file format. That means that every version of AutoCAD from 2013 upwards can read the DWG because your certification is not normally now version specific. So you should be able to work on a slightly older version of AutoCAD and still be able to approach, prepare, and take your certification examination. So the idea being is the drawing files are there for you to download from the website. Download them. Store them in a known location on your computer. I'll then refer to the appropriate DWG file, the appropriate exercise file for each particular video as we work through the course.
