- If you're a member of Lynday.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this course. The files should be extracted to your desktop. Let's look at them now. Inside of the exercise files folder, we have all sorts of data types including, .sql, .txt, .dwg, and shp files. The SQL extension, create_table.sql, and insert SQL, contain text files, which have SQL language that we'll be using throughout the class. We also have two text files, material_lookup_list and sql_extents.
We'll be copying pasting content from that into AutoCAD Map. We also have two dwgs, new_pipe, and pvc, which we'll be opening inside of AutoCAD Map. Finally, we have a shape file. We use SQL server in this class. If required, it can be installed on your desktop. However, SQL server is meant to be installed on a server. To use within your organization, please be sure to install SQL server on a server rather than on a desktop. Now, these are all the files you'll be using in the video.
There is a Data Sources PDF, right here. This contains links to the RAW data use in this class. Some of this data was modified to fit with AutoCAD Map 3D. If you want to download the original data set, you'll find the link in this document. Let's get started.
