Using the Revolve tool

- In this video, we'll create a baluster using the Revolve tool. A baluster is that decorative vertical piece that holds up the railing. To get started, let's switch into a front view. So go to the Home tab on the ribbon, and choose Front, from the View drop-down menu. Let's do a little bit of housekeeping. We're moving on, so we're done with this step, and I'm going to choose to make railing the active layer, and also go back to By Layer for the active color. Let's go ahead an insert a block. Go back up to the Insert menu. Click on Insert, then More Options, and let's browse. In the Chapter Two folder of the exercise files, you'll find a block called the BalusterProfile. Let's open that and click OK. Now we just want to snap that endpoint onto that front edge of the step. Let's zoom out. I'm gonna click on this block and explode it. I'll type X, enter.
