- [Instructor] So again here we are in another AutoCAD Tip and Trick from Lynda.com. As usual we have a new drawing open for you. This time it's a nice blank drawing and what we're going to look at is one of the new features available to you in the AutoCAD 2017.1 update that is available on subscription. It's another really nice little tool, I feel should be a tip and trick to allow you to be more productive. Now, how often have you had to bring in a PDF that somebody has sent you as an underlay inside one of your AutoCAD drawings? It often happens. And what happens as well is the text on that PDF is an old SHX font instead of a Windows TrueType font. What this particular command allows you to do in AutoCAD is convert those SHX fonts from the PDF to multi-line text in your AutoCAD drawings. Now, this drawing is completely blank.
