- [Voiceover] So here we are in the second chapter of our 'Using Tool Palettes in AutoCAD' course. And we're going to be looking at AutoCAD DesignCenter. Now, I did mention AutoCAD DesignCenter in the previous chapter just towards the end, and we're now going to look at DesignCenter in a lot more detail and see exactly how it works. So I've got a new blank drawing open for you here. It's 02_DesignCenter.dwg. You can go to your lynda.com exercise files, download it locally, save it, and then use it to follow along with the videos. Now, the only difference in this blank drawing that I've made is in the layers panel here in the home tab on the ribbon. And you can see that we have an objects layer that is yellow. And basically, I've set that up as the current layer purely because that when we bring in blocks, for example, from palettes or DesignCenter, they will then adopt the current layer.
