Using 3D elevations in AutoCAD

- [Instructor] So, we're staying in our chapter where we're looking at how and why we would use elevations in AutoCAD. We're in a different drawing, though, this time. We're in the drawing01_elevations3D this time and as usual you can download that from the website to follow along with the video if you wish. Now you'll notice this time we're in a 3D drawing. It's a small house as you can see, got a little sort of porch there with a little column and a little angled roof and some windows and some walls and so on, it's a very, very simple 3D model. But one of the benefits you have with a 3D model is, of course, you've got a front view, a back view, and a left and right view, a top view, a bottom view if you need it, not that you'd look at a house from the bottom at any time. But the idea being is what you can do is you can utilize the standard AutoCAD views to create your elevations. Let me show you what I mean.
