- [Instructor] We're staying in Point_to_point_01.dwg file, and what we're going to have a look at now is splicing wires when we're using our connectors in our AutoCAD Electrical drawings. Now, splicing's extremely useful, and you've got a really nice schematic symbol for splices as well. And what it allows you to do, is it allows you to tidy up your connection drawings in AutoCAD Electrical. So quick and easy, we go to the Schematic tab on the ribbon into the Insert Components panel, and where we found the connectors, we click on the flyout, and there's Insert Splice. So I click on it, takes me to the Icon menu. And you'll notice it automatically takes me to the Splice Symbols section. There's the Splice there, I click on it, and there it is there ready to go in. So what I'm going to do is splice this wire number four coming off of the connector, and I'll place it in there, and it's SP1, splice one. Click on OK.
