- [Instructor] Let's continue modeling the pedal assembly. I'd like to model this kind of cage that goes around the core and right now this is composed of different pieces. To do that, I should create a poly line that represents the entire object. And I can generate that using the boundary command, BO and then if I pick points inside this boundary, you'll see that AutoCAD kind of gets stuck on that when it's analyzing the data. I'm going to press escape to cancel that. And this particular command works by analyzing the contents of the screen, so we can help this algorithm out by hiding this object temporarily, so I'll come down here on the Status bar and say Hide Objects. I'll also pan over here so I can't see that crank on the screen. Now when I try to use the boundary command, I'll pick points and I'll click right in here. It finds it almost immediately because the analysis is very simple for this two-dimensional geometry. Now, I want to extrude that up a distance equal to this…
