Slicing with surfaces
- In this video, we'll continue refining our step by slicing a profile into the side with a surface. For our next step, we want to work on the outside face of our step. Now, this one over here. So let's explore some other ways to change our view. First, let's return the UCS to the default world coordinate system. We can always change our view by using the View Cube, but notice that as you click around the different views, the UCS doesn't change. If you want the UCS to change with the view, using the view options on the ribbon are a better choice instead. So, we can toggle around here and notice how the UCS icon changes along with the view. Let's go into a front view. So I'm going to create a rough 2D profile with the Poly Line tool. Before we get started, let's change our visual style back to 2D wireframe, and I'm also going to make sure that my running OSnaps are off. Let's start that poly line.
