Shell the tower

- [Instructor] At this stage, the tower roof is a giant solid object. It looks good from the outside but it's not realistic on the inside. Let's correct that. I'd like to learn how thick the tower walls are so I'm going to select this object and hide it temporarily and then zoom in here on the tower walls and measure the distance using the di command across the walls. Looks like it's one foot 7 1/2. Let's reveal the object again by ending Object Isolation. And then I'd like to Shell the object. I'll do so my selecting it and pressing enter and then it will prompt me to enter the Shell offset distance, that's one foot, seven dash, one forward slash two, enter. Then I'll press enter a couple of times to accept the defaults and it looks the same. However, when I go into Wire frame and orbit around, you'll see this object now has an interior. However, that also has a floor on it. So let's isolate this object and work on it. I'll go back into Shaded with edges mode and I'm going to orbit…
