Setting up a tolerances layer

- [Instructor] So we're starting a new chapter now in our annotation scaling in AutoCAD drawings course. We're going to start looking now at tolerances and how annotation scaling affects those tolerances when you use your annotation scaling in AutoCAD. Now I've got a new drawing open there for you. it's 07_AnnotativeTolerances.dwg Now, before we start looking at which layer we're going to put our tolerances on, we need to just quickly clarify which tolerances we are looking at here. We're not looking at dimension tolerances that you would have in a dimension style. Let me show you what I mean. I'll go to the Home tab on the ribbon, click on the flyout in the Annotation panel, click on here, Dimension Style, pick any dimension style and click on Modify. You'll notice there's a Tolerances tab at the top in the dialogue box. It is not those tolerances we are setting with annotation scaling. We are setting geometric tolerances and you'll see the difference in moment. So just cancel that…
