Setting up an accurate 3D model

- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now in our AutoCAD 2D and 3D elevations course. We're moving into 3D now, where we're going to take a 3D model and develop some elevations from it for use in AutoCAD, so we've got a nice new drawing for you to use, you can download it from the website. And we're going to use it for the duration of this particular chapter and it's 06 underscore elevations 3D underscore house dot DWG. Now it may look familiar to you, that's because it's a 3D model of the plan views that we used when we were looking at 2D drawings and 2D elevations. So you can see we've got a nice 3D house in front of us. Now what we need to do is make sure that we have an accurate 3D model. So we just need to check some elements of the model to make sure that things are accurate. Now normally, when you're working with a 3D model, and also 2D drawings, you would have a setting out point.
